Beauty of a Rose

Vast green garden
Overrun by turmoil
A red rose grows
Bright with virtue
Stands in the middle
Strong
Yet vulnerable
Fragile
Pedals strained toward heaven
Searching
Finding emptiness and longing

The sun chases the moon
Around the universe
A stony wall appears 
Protecting
A caretaker comes
Breaking down the wall
Discovering the treasure inside
